ASHBURN FARM
Ashburn Farm has 165 acres of open space on its 1,200 acres of land. When completed, the Farm will have over 10,000 residents, 3 swimming pools, 12 tennis courts, and 15 tot lots. It also has 2 retail centers and the 14 acre Windmill Center will provide office and conference space.
ASHBURN VILLAGE
Ashburn Village will have over 5,000 homes and nearly 17,000 residents when completed. It is a 1,580 acre development with ball fields, a Sports Pavilion with two swimming pools, an office and research park, and four lakes.
BEACON HILL
This new prestigious community offers a private, world class 27 hole course designed by Johnny Miller. Beacon Hill has 225 homes on 1 to 11 acre estates incorporated into an 1,100 acre reserve. The Equestrian Center includes barns, stables, and miles of riding trails.
BELMONT COUNTRY CLUB
An 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature golf course will greet you at this new community. A private gated community on 1,100 acres, Belmont Country Club has mountain and golf course views, state-of-the-art recreation center, private clubhouse, and restored historic 18th century Manor House.
BLUEMONT
At the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains is Bluemont, a village of approximately 275 persons. City dwellers once called this village their summer resort town and it was the end of the railway line for the Washington and Old Dominion Road. BRAMBLETON
Another new community in Loudoun County is Brambleton, which offers the homebuyer a variety of home designs along with a resort-style way of living. There will be 6,200 home sites within the 2,000 acres. Amenities include recreation, retail establishments and advanced fiber optic availability to each home.
BROADLANDS
This community combines home life and nature with Stream Valley Park - woods and trails, wetlands and wildlife preserves. Natural amenities include a nature walk and turtle glade. Broadlands is also conveniently located in the heart of the Dulles Hi-Tech Corridor.
CASCADES
Finest for Family Living award for 1993, Cascades offers a wide variety of home styles to the family; single-family homes, town homes, condominiums and apartments are on offer. This 2,500 acres community offers 3 swimming pools, 12 tennis courts, 11 multipurpose courts and 21 tot lots. COUNTRYSIDE
Completed in 1991, Countryside has approximately 8,000 residents. Recreation amenities include 3 swimming pools, six tennis courts 10 tot lots and network of fitness and walking trails. EDWARDS LANDING
A few minutes stroll from the Potomac River, Edwards Landing is a new community offering a variety of single family homes and luxury town homes. There are scenic walking trails among the Civil War-style fencing. Recreational amenities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, tot lots and picnic area. EXETER
Exeter is a community of approximately 820 homes in historic Leesburg. Recreational activities include a clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts. HAMILTON
Originally named Harmony by a group of Methodists who first founded Hamilton in the 1880s. George Washington often passed through here, visiting his friend Col. James Hamilton, the first postmaster. The town was later renamed Hamilton to honor the Colonel. A small town of about 637 people, Hamilton offers peace and quiet for those who commute to D.C. HILLSBORO
Settled in the 18th century, Hillsboro is close to the Short Hill Mountains and the West Virginia border. Hillsboro is surrounded by farmland and countryside, and is home to some beautifully restored 19th century homes. The last home erected here was in 1893, with the exception being of one building. LAKES AT RED ROCK
Another new community in the County is Lakes at Red Rock, north of Leesburg. With it's proximity to Leesburg, home owners can enjoy a variety of shopping with Olde Town Leesburg and Leesburg Premium Outlets. Ida Lee Park is also nearby for walking trails and playgrounds.
LANSDOWNE
A golfer's dream can be found in Lansdowne with an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. Lansdowne Resort course and a planned Greg Norman 18 hole tournament course. Upscale residences, recreational facilities, parks, and tennis courts are some of the other features of this new community.
LEESBURG
Founded in 1761 and having a population of approximately 34,414 Leesburg is the county seat. Along with being the home of many historic homes, Leesburg has many new surrounding communities. Named after Francis Lightfoot Lee, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Leesburg strives to maintain the historic character of the town, as is proven in the downtown area, while developing new commercial venues, such as the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets. LOVETTSVILLE
Incorporated in 1836, Lovettsville is an important farming community in the County as well as home to a growing group of residents who work in Washington D.C. and take the community train from Brunswick, MD, just across the Potomac. Along with many historic homes and sites, it also hosts an annual Oktoberfest in the fall.

LUCKETTS
This community was center-stage in earlier times, with the Old Carolina Railroad making it's way eastward, revolutionary war hero Mad Anthony Wayne passing through and Piscataway Indians making their home here until 1709. Present day, Lucketts provides a village-like setting, county fairs and blue grass music shows.

MIDDLEBURG
One of Loudouns equestrian centers is Middleburg. Visitors come from all around the world to take part and view the annual equestrian events. With its population of 632 residents, Middleburg strives to maintain its community-oriented atmosphere. PHILOMONT
The Philomont Volunteer Fire Department livens up this small community every year with its annual horse show. The PVFD serves over 1250 homes covering over 50 square miles. A quaint general store downtown serves as a focal point of happenings for the local residents, as well as supplying them with their immediate needs. (Information from Guide to Loudoun, 7/24/2002).
POTOMAC CROSSING Near Balls Bluff Regional Park you?ll find a new community of Potomac Crossing. The 200 acres will include approximately 950 single family homes and town homes along tree-lined streets and cul-de-sacs. The recreational center will provide year round amenities and shopping and dining is nearby in Old Town Leesburg.

POTOMAC STATION
Partially developed, this community of 538 acres will contain a mix of single-family homes and townhouses. Some of the amenities are a 4,000 square foot club house for private rental by residents, swimming pools, tennis courts and tot lots. A retail shopping center will be completed by spring of 2004. PURCELLVILLE
One of the fastest growing towns in Loudoun County. Initially a large farming community, Purcellville is seeing in increase of growth and development with new roads and more employment in Northern Virginia. RIVER CREEK
This new community is a private, gate guarded golf course community west of Leesburg. River Creek offers a variety of single family homes, court yard homes and town homes. Recreational activities include golf, swimming, miles of walking trails and a 30,000 square foot clubhouse. There is also 2 miles of Potomac River frontage and 1 mile of Goose Creek frontage. ROUND HILL
One of Loudoun?s older communities, Round Hill was established in 1725. With a backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Round Hill has attracted developers with a recent development called Oak Hill. Oak Hill will provide approximately 1,000 homes on 1,329 acres. (Information from Guide to Loudoun, 7/24/2002).
SHENSTONE FARM
The Estates at Shenstone Farm is a new community, with home sites from 3 to 11 acres. These estates offer fantastic views and lush, green hills on wide open spaces. (Information from Loudoun Handbook, 2001).
SOUTH RIDING
Opened in 1995, South Riding is located on 2,050 acres and more than 3,000 families. Tennis courts, swimming pools and sports fields are available, as well as an 18-hole Golf South designed course open to the public. STERLING / STERLING PARK
These communities are two of the better established areas in Loudoun County, developed in the 1960s. There is a wide range of homes to choose from: single family detached on one-acre sites to multi-family buildings and villas. Major new developments have added to the diversity of this area. SUGARLAND RUN
Although established in 1971, this community continues to grow. Many community activities include pool parties and meet-your-neighbor gatherings. Recreation activities available to the residents include miles of biking and walking trails.

WATERFORD
This community is an old Quaker mill town that was settled in 1733. A National Historic Landmark designation protects this historic village. The population of 300 explodes during the fall with the Waterford Fair, a three day festival featuring traditional crafts, historic homes tours, military re-enactments, and art exhibits, along with food and dance.
