Loudoun County also has a vast number of historic sites. Below are a few of the many that attract visitors from near and far. * Dodona Manor: In Leesburg, this is the home of statesman and soldier George C. Marshall, army chief of staff in WWII and author of the Marshall Plan. * Goose Creek Bridge: Located west of Middleburg, this is the longest stone-arch span in Virginia. Built in 1803-05. * Loudoun Museum: A new Civil War exhibit ?Road to Antietam? has expanded this museum?s artifacts and displays. You?ll also find available walking tours of Leesburg centering on African-American history, Revolutionary War and the Civil War. * Morven Park: Beautiful, historic mansion with carriage museum, extensive gardens and grounds. Home to two governors, the house dates back to 1760. Picnic areas and facilities are available. * Oatlands Plantation: Built in 1803. Beautifully maintained historic home south of Leesburg.
